I’m a Senior Citizen, Hon, not an invalid.

Welcome to MacDonalds. May I help the next person in line?
Yes, ma’am. I’d like a senior coffee.
Would you like cream or sugar, Hon?
Yes, Both.
How much sugar, Hon?
One pack is plenty.
I’ll get that right in there for you, Hon.
No, I’d rather do it myself.
Are you sure, Hon? It’s no trouble.
Yes, I’m sure.
Well, Okay, Hon, if you’re sure.
Yep, I’m sure.
Would you like me to add the cream?
No, I’d like to do that as well and you forgot to call me Hon.
Sorry, Hon.

  1. Beau's mom says:

When I lived in Indiana, I rarely noticed “helpful” younger people at fast food restaurants. For some reason, when we moved to Florida (land of the dead and near dead) we are amazed at the helpfulness of the younger people in fast food restaurants. They should be fed up with us old people in droves.

Makes me wonder why they are so much nicer here.
